If we pass this on and everyone sends 1 card, think of how many cards these special people who have sacrificed so much for us would get. Just address it to 'A Hero'.

VELLUM AND POOR LIGHT!!

I've realised something else today... trying to get a good photograph of vellum and Glamour Dust in artificial light is a black art.. and I'm no good at it! But hopefully you get the idea?!

I Cbug'd the snowflakes out of vellum and added the crystals, all stuck onto lines of Glamour Dust, created by drawing lines using my Sakura clear pen and leaving them to set for a few minutes before shaking off the excess. I quite like it. TFL x

MIRRI-CARD....I HATE IT

Thought I might try something a bit different. I don't usually use mirri-card...now I know why. Maybe it's the brand I've got but it keeps 'shaving' off. I used my Cbug to do the snowflakes and shards of it keep peeling off. Managed to get it glued on okay, but it was very fiddly.

And the photo isn't great, either, cos the light's not too good at this time of day! I used my Nesties to cut out the circles, embossed the silver circle and it's all put together using foam pads. The sentiment is Waltzing Mouse. I quite like the overall effect, but it seemed to take a REALLY long time to make. TFL x

Remember the Hawaiian one? Well I've been asked to make another one for someone else. It has to be purple and white with lillies and not as 'fussy' as the other one. What do you think?

BLOOMIN' KIDS!!!

Don't you just love it when your child, on her way up to bed at 8pm, suddenly announces that she HAS to take a totally decorated jar full of sweeties for the school Christmas fair... tomorrow!??

MY FIRST CHRISTMAS CARDS!

The 'Noel' is a digi stamp by Cottage Arts from the Joyeux collection. I resized it to allow the Waltzing Mouse stamps to fit! x

AND LIL G'S BEEN COLOURING...

She chose the stamp, coloured it, laid out the card design and all I had to do was stick things on for her. Very talented, my girl. Watch out, crafters.. we have competition!! TFL x

MUM'S BEEN PAINTING AGAIN....

So I made a couple of birthday cards out of them... The snowdrops are for a friend. Hope she likes it cos I think the paintings are terrific x

LIL G'S FIRST GROWN-UP PARTY

We went to the Hawaiian Luau for our friends' wedding and I just had to share this photo of my very beautiful (and worryingly grown-up!) Lil G. Looks fab, doesn't she? Had her first pair of 'high' heels for the night too... x

IT'S NEARLY CHRISTMAS!!!

I can't believe how long it has been since I posted! Time really does fly, and we weren't even having much fun!!
Thought I'd show you a couple of pics from Halloween..


One thing is very clear... I couldn't ever be a brunette!! We got some glowing balloons and turned off the lights... terrified the Trick-or-Treaters!!

Am hoping to get some crafting done later today, so watch this space! x

HAWAIIAN WEDDING GUEST BOOK AND BOX

Evening all. I have at long last managed to complete this project. It's for my friends who eloped to Hawaii and got married yesterday. When they get back, we're all having a luau!!
I've tried to make it all as 'Hawaiian' as possible.

BLIMEY! A CUTE IMAGE!!!

Not like me at all, is it? I'm rubbish at colouring, see? And not much better at cutting out... But it's my mate's birthday this weekend and she's a massive cat lover and she also loves her flowers. So I made this.

She's 29!! I used my nesties to cut out the circles, then glued the flowers and bits on. I also glued the leaves on both sides of the frame to add dimension. I quite like it, but it's not really my style. AND I sliced my cuticle in the process... no idea how!! I hope she likes it, cos she's a lovely person and I'd like to give her something lovely. TFL x

And now for something completely different! It's my friend's birthday next week and she, like me, loves all things oriental. So I had the perfect excuse to use my Waltzing Mouse stamps (Asian Gardens). Hope she likes it. TFL xx

SYMPATHY CARD

We lost a very dear friend to cancer last week. He had been given the all-clear not 8 months ago, but it came back with a vengance and took him very suddenly. He was a great friend of my Dad and helped me through the court case and coroner's stuff and he will be very sadly missed. I chose the verse because not only will he be reunited with my Dad, but also with his son, who died suddenly a couple of years ago. His wife is a lovely lady and I wanted to make something very special for her. It started out as a good idea but I may have overdone it a bit. What do you think? TFL X
